Being the mom to 3 boys, I have learned cleaning your house while your kids are still growing up is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing.

23 weeks!

I'm at 23 weeks!  The baby is very active - except when Dominic tries to feel.  I feel so bad for him.  I have tried to spin this into a positive....telling Dominic that he has the magic "sleep" touch!

Our new lot is loosing lots of trees this week.  We are so excited to see the lot being prepared for the foundation to go in soon.  Once the dozer shows up to dig, it will really start to feel like we are going to be moving in the new house soon!

Mischief Maker

Isaac is ever the mischief maker.  He has developed a fear of the vacuum - don't know why - but I asked Luke to take Isaac into the playroom so I could vacuum the upstairs.  When I went downstairs, this is what I was greeted with:

Luckily its a dry erase marker and he did not color on the walls or floor!

Wrestling

Dominic wrestled his heart out at Regionals.  He did not qualify for State but we are so proud of him.  Amazing how much he has learned in just 2 short seasons.

This is how Luke likes to spend his time at wrestling meets:

Isaac is also doing a great job.  He has already amazed the head coach with his bridging and sprawling skills!  We figure if we maintain a 5-10min per day flexibility routine with him, he will never loose the baby flexibility and he will be that much farther ahead!  He likes to put on the older boys wrestling stuff...a future champion???  We think so!

More cloth coming

We have had such great success cloth diapering Isaac, that we are going to stick with it for the new squish.  So far that is the only baby purchase I have made....getting a newborn cloth diaper stash ready to go.

I had my 20 week appointment and the results of the level 2 ultrasound are perfectly normal.  The baby has a heart beat of 150-155.  The OB said the next 10-12 weeks should be boring...I added that boring is good...we like boring.

Dominic wrestled in Districts this past weekend.  He did a tremendous job...best he has wrestled all year...placed 6th and qualified for Regionals.

Week 19-20!

Hard to believe that I'm already half way through this pregnancy!  I'm feeling really good these days...I get tired easily but at least the morning sickness is pretty much over.  Mark is still wanting a gender surprise at birth and I am going with it too.  I call the baby "he" because that is all I know to this point so it is easy to say.  I have apologized to the baby if "he" is really a "she".

We had our 20wk ultrasound today and all looks great to this point.  The baby was so squirmy that we didn't get a great profile shot but here are some pictures we did get.  We were able to see "him" flip all around - arms and legs every where - and  move his jaw up and down - either swallowing or sucking.

Luke is 6 Years Old!

Luke didn't have such a great birthday week.  He was sick (really sick) all week so we managed a few pictures and some celebrating.

Luke's birthday breakfast.

Luke's birthday cake on his actual birthday.  This was my practice basketball cake he wanted for his family party.  Poor kid didn't even eat one bite of it because he wasn't feeling well.

 Family party day!

This was Luke's reaction at the restaurant when they sang to him!

Here is Luke's reeces pieces basketball cake.  At least Luke felt like eating part of this one!

Happy Birthday Buddy!

March Update

So I missed February!  Now that we have an ipad (which I LOVE), I find I rarely use the laptop anymore.  One draw back to the ipad is the editing abilities and easy typing of the laptop on sites like our blog.

Wow - what a 2013 so far.

Wrestling is over for Luke.  He did great this season - though he doesn't think so.  Dominic is training hard for districts this coming weekend.  If he places in the top 6, then he qualifies for regionals.  We are just hoping for some good wrestling with effort and determination - the final result doesn't concern us this year.

Isaac is now 19....almost 20 months old!  Still haven't gotten his 18M well child check up done because he has been in a roller coaster cycle of well / not well all winter so he can't get his shots.  I think we are just going to wait until late spring and get him caught up on his vaccinations.  He is turning into such a "kid" now and loosing his "baby".

We finally got hit with 2 snow storms back to back.  I could have skipped it but the kids love it.  Dominic is no longer that cooperative with pictures but I was able to get a few of Luke and Isaac's first real snow experience.

Of course we celebrated a BIG 6th birthday in our house too!  But I will make a seperate post for Luke's special day.
