Met with the RE that will be doing my FET on Monday. I had a mycroplasm screening done. This doctor is interested in women who have failed so many fresh ET in the past - like me. I guess this bacteria can be a contributing factor and we will know the results in 2 weeks. I don't feel this is the issue, but we will see.
I had some questions for him as well. I asked how many c-sections are considered safe. He said as many as I want! Typically most women don't have more than 5 - because they already have 5 children and are done. He did stress that if I would become pregnant with twins this time, that I need to make sure I find an OB that is willing to schedule the c-section for 36wks and no later. This is primarily because I have had 2 previous c-sections and I have a history of making large babies.
I also asked if my low breast milk supply was related to my IF. He said probably not. He said that some women can feed all the world's babies, while others can not.
We did get great news - he said we could fly home after the FET. We are excited about this prospect but it will depend on the time of the FET and trying to work that around the flight schedule. Depending on their surgical schedule for that day, we could be doing the FET as early as 6am or as late as 10am.
The boys are very excited. Luke keeps dancing around saying "I can't wait for my babies to be here!" Both he and Dominic are pretty sure we will have twins this time because Dominic is still hopeful for his baby sister and Luke desperately wants "a different brother". While we hate to crush their enthusiasm, we do remind them that these baby seeds may go to heaven as well.
Still taking the Lupron - the headaches are managable but there as a reminder. I start Estrace tomorrow.
