The boys made a horrible discovery today while checking on the robin's nest. The 2 baby birds were missing from the nest. They found one under neath the deck steps in the rocks but the other one hasn't been found. We can only speculate what happened today......so sad.
Here is the poor little baby in the rocks about 8ft below the nest. We don't know how long it had been laying in the rocks and the tempurature today was only in the low 60s. The baby was still alive, so I picked it up with medical gloves on and returned it to the nest in hopes that the mama robin will care for it.
